Shifra Kolsky

Shifra Kolsky is the Senior Vice President Chief Accounting Officer & Controller at Discover Financial Services. In this capacity, Ms. Kolsky leads all aspects of the company’s accounting, financial reporting, and related internal controls functions.

Ms. Kolsky arrived at Discover in 2009 as Director External Reporting and later served as Vice President Assistant Controller. Prior to joining Discover, she spent over 14 years in assurance services with Deloitte and Arthur Andersen, serving clients in a cross section of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare and entertainment. 

Ms. Kolsky has a B.S. in Business Administration-Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is a CPA licensed in the state of New York and registered in the state of Illinois. In addition to spending time with her husband and four kids, she is a board member for No Shame On U, a not-for-profit seeking to eliminate the stigma associated with mental health issues.
