Learn to improve your governmental financial statement and Auditors’ opinion preparation skills by reviewing issued Illinois K-12 financial statements and Auditors’ reports for compliance with GAAP and GAAS.
Review Illinois K-12 reports on the GAAP basis and/or ISBE regulatory basis (cash or accrual). Attendees will spend dedicated time reviewing financial reports, including the basic financial statements, notes to the financial statements, individual fund financial statements, and Auditors’ reports.
Sarah works with the governmental services practice, providing financial and compliance audit services to a variety of public sector entities. Her focus is on state and local governments, including counties, municipalities, state agencies, and school districts. Sarah has extensive experience in auditing federally assisted programs in accordance with Uniform Grant Guidance and performing compliance examinations in accordance with guidelines issued by State of Illinois agencies. In her current role, Sarah manages engagement teams performing audits and examinations and is responsible for ensuring engagement teams perform engagements in accordance with firm policy and professional standards.
