Most tax software today claims to "use AI," but few explain what that actually means for the work a preparer does each day. This session explains agentic AI in tax preparation: what an AI agent is, how agents differ from the automation firms may already use, and where they fit in a real tax workflow.

We'll walk through how agents process source documents and K-1s, build and reconcile workpapers, and move data into the tax engines firms already run, all with the CPA reviewing and signing off.

Attendees will leave able to tell the difference between AI marketing and AI that holds up under the realities of a busy season.
