Pdf Summary
BigMarker’s Attendee Troubleshooting Guide covers the main technical requirements and fixes for virtual events/webinars. To join successfully, attendees should use a supported, up-to-date browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, or IE11 in webcast mode), have at least 2 Mbps upload/download speed for attendance, and 10 Mbps if sharing mic/webcam/desktop. A wired connection is recommended for stability. Firewalls and proxy settings must allow traffic through ports 80 and 443, and users should have a current operating system and compatible hardware such as a headset, webcam, and microphone. Common problems and solutions include: - Can’t enter the event: Update your browser, disable blocking firewalls, and contact your IT team or BigMarker support if needed. - “Connection Can’t Be Established”: Check internet speed, switch to Chrome or Firefox, use Ethernet instead of Wi‑Fi, try another device, disable extensions that block WebRTC, and review firewall settings. - Slow or choppy connection: Move closer to the router, close other apps/tabs, switch networks, restart devices, disable extensions, turn off VPNs, and consider using another browser or device. - No sound: Accept the audio prompt, check volume and mute settings, refresh or use incognito mode, restart the browser/computer, or dial in by phone using the provided number and access details. - Can’t see presenter video: Refresh or use incognito, confirm internet speed meets requirements, and check firewall settings. For CPE credit, attendees must respond to automated tracking questions throughout the session, answering at least 75% to receive full credit. If tracking issues occur, email EducationSupport@icpas.org. The CPE survey and certificate are processed after the event.
